FutureWay AI
FutureWay AI vs. Langdock

The sovereign alternative to Langdock

Langdock is a strong, properly certified product. The difference to FutureWay is not security — it's structural: ownership, provider jurisdiction and what sits in the data path by default.

Being fair: what Langdock does well

Langdock is ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certified, runs a public trust center and offers a large model catalog. We don't position on 'insecure'. The difference lies elsewhere — and it can be shown from public documents.

The comparison — sourced

Ownership
Langdock: Langdock GmbH (Berlin) is 100% owned by Langdock Inc., Delaware (USA)
FutureWay AI: German company (Bochum) — no US parent, no US branch
Default models
Langdock: Run via the EU subsidiaries of OpenAI, Microsoft, Google and AWS — EU region, but US providers
FutureWay AI: EU models from France — European providers under EU law
Model catalog
Langdock: 32 models, mostly US providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google); Mistral = 1 EU model
FutureWay AI: A curated EU selection by default; US frontier models only as an explicit org opt-in
US auxiliary subprocessors
Langdock: Permanently in the path per their DPA: Sentry (error tracking) and Cloudflare (traffic) — both US
FutureWay AI: Self-hosted error tracking, no US CDNs — no US auxiliary service in the path
Default setting
Langdock: EU processing is a configuration; US models are part of the standard catalog
FutureWay AI: EU is the floor, not an option — US only as a deliberate, logged exception
CLOUD Act exposure
Langdock: US parent + US subprocessors structurally increase the theoretical access surface
FutureWay AI: No US company in the default path — the question does not arise
Value creation
Langdock: Models, cloud and ownership mostly US — value flows there
FutureWay AI: Models, operations and payments with EU providers — value stays in Germany/the EU

Important: not an accusation, but structure

US ownership does not automatically trigger CLOUD Act access — as long as the responsible parties sit in Germany, they would resist under the GDPR (per the assessment of Steiger Legal, June 2026). So this is a structural increase in risk, not proven data disclosure. Our end-to-end EU structure removes the question from the outset.

And honest about ourselves

You can use US frontier models (GPT, Claude) with us too — but only if your organization explicitly enables them, logged and never by default or in auto mode. The difference remains: with us, EU is the default and US the documented exception.
